Frequently Asked Questions

Acupuncture is the 2500-year-old art and science of using tiny needles at specific points on the body to influence natural healing mechanisms and to offer relief from pain. Since acupuncture’s beginnings in China, it has spread throughout the world, and is one of the most commonly used forms of alternative medicine today. Acupuncture is used by over eight million Americans.

We have a variety of options to serve you. If you have never tried acupuncture before feel free to drop in on any Thursday between 4 and 7 p.m. to our “Acupuncture Happy Hour.” This is a good time sit and talk with us and we can answer some general questions.

This is also a time where we provide high quality teas, organic snacks and give $25 ear acupuncture sessions in our community reception area.

If you would like more individualized attention, we have two options: Pay per visit or packages. Please call the Center for a description of our packages and fees.

A typical treatment plan consists of an initial visit and one or more follow-up visits.

Initial Visit:
Your initial visit includes a consultation, medical history review, a full intake, patient education, and an acupuncture treatment.

You may also receive an herbal formula and dietary recommendations. Please allow for a total of up to 90 minutes for this visit.

Return Visit:
Return visits include an acupuncture treatment, updates on progress, re-evaluation, herbal and dietary recommendations, and further patient education. Please allow 45-60 minutes for a return visit.
