General Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are you accepting new patients?
A: Yes. We are currently accepting new patients. Please give us a call at (831) 425-4500 to inquire about our services and practitioners. We would be happy to match you up with the best service and wellness provider to suit your needs.
Q: What should I bring with me to my first appointment?
A: On the day of your very first visit please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your appointment time in order to register and fill out the necessary paperwork. Please bring any pertinent medical records with you as well as a list of your current medications.
Q: Do you take urgent care or same day appointments?
A: Yes. Most of our practitioners set aside some time every day for same day or urgent care visits. If there is an urgent need to see us the same day, please try to call at the start of our office hours (9:00 a.m.) and we will assist you in setting up a same day appointment.
Q: Do you have a cancellation policy?
A: 48 hours notice of a cancellation is appreciated, however we will only charge you for your appointment if you call within 24 hours. It is important to let us know of any change so we can schedule someone else in the allotted time.
Q: How do you communicate with your patients regarding their results?
A: All lab test results and other findings are either emailed or mailed to you within two weeks of completion. Abnormal results or those of an urgent nature will be phoned directly to you as soon as the results are available. If there are any questions about your test results you may email or call us.
Q: What is your herbal refill policy?
A: Each patient may have up to 2 refills within sixty days of their last appointment. If you have not been in to see us in the past 2 months, we will ask you to schedule an herbal consultation for review.
Please do not email us for refills. It is best to give the center a call and make your request.
Q: What are your office hours?
A: The center is open seven days a week, 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Each practitioner has different office hours. To schedule an appointment, please call the center or ** the practitioner directly.
Q: What should I do if I have an after-hours emergency?
A: In life-threatening situations, such as a heart attack or traumatic injury, dial 9-1-1 for fast paramedic assistance, or go directly to a hospital emergency room. Always err on the side of caution. It is far better to go to the hospital and turn out to be fine than to not go and find yourself in a life-threatening situation.
For situations less urgent but still necessitating communication with your practitioner, you may call our office at any time. Most of us have our mobile phones listed for emergency use.
Q: What insurance plans do you take?
A: Most practitioners at the center give superbills (an itemized list of services rendered with applicable insurance codes) for you to submit to your insurance provider. They send you a check directly for the appropriate allocation of services. Please ask us to provide you with a superbill if needed at the time of your visit. If possible we will print one out at the time of your visit if time permits, otherwise we do insurance billing at the 15th and 31st of every month.
