
Maryasha Katz, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Adjunct Faculty at JFK University's Graduate School of Professional Psychology, Dancer, and Personal Chef. In her clinical work she specializes in various forms of trauma, especially Sexual Assault, Childhood Sexual Abuse, Ritual Abuse and Domestic Violence. In addition, she works with issues of Depression, Grief and Loss, Life transitions, and Anxiety.
Her treatment is client centered, recognizing the unique abilities of all individuals to heal and move forward into their dreams and goals. Maryasha has specialized training in working somatically with emotional issues. She believes that the body must be incorporated when working with the mind and heart. In addition, treatments include: Expressive Arts, EMDR, Psycho-education, Cognitive Behavioral, Attachment work, and Object Relations.
